MICHAEL ALLEN HARRISON

Marietta Harrison - Play It Forward Director

As a mother of musical children, Marietta brings a keen understanding of what it takes to learn an instrument and the importance of that developmental tool in the life of a child.  This passion drives her to create opportunities for children from every walk of life, while also bringing a keen understanding of instruments and matching them to students.    Her love of music eventually lead her to meet and marry Michael and they are now raising their darling Esther – and providing her with music lessons, of course.

Bill Lamb - Board Chair

The list of instruments Bill Lamb has played as a session musician is only outdone by the list of stars he has performed or recorded with. Founder, President and Managing Partner of the firm. Kathy holds a Linfield College degree. She has been a CPA since 1974 with experience in all areas of the practice.  Under her leadership, the professional staff lives out the firm’s commitment to community service.

Kathy Bernards had a desire to work in a profession where she could make a difference in the lives of people in her community. Since public accountants help individuals and businesses be good stewards of their hard-earned assets, the career fit for Kathy was perfect. As an owner of a firm that employs four other professionals and one para-professional, Kathy enjoys watching them carve their own niches of service to the community.

Kathy most appreciates the interaction she has with clients in very personal matters – the opportunity to help clients discern what is really important, then chart a path to reach those goals. She enjoys helping people discover that philanthropy can make a big difference in their communities while reducing tax liability. Her firm also provides attestation, planning, and forensic services to businesses.

Kathy earned her degree at Linfield College and has worked as a CPA in McMinnville since 1976. Married for 41 years, she and her husband have three adult children. Kathy serves on numerous community boards and committees and participates in church and community choirs.

Michelle Tonkin - Board Member

My name is Michelle Tonkin.  I was born and raised in Portland,Oregon.  I have been married to my husband Brad for 25 years, and we have 3 children; Alex (24) Brendan(21) Celia (18).  I went to Sunset High School, in Beaverton, and then on to Willamette University, in Salem.

My love of music started when I was very young.  I started playing the piano at 7, and  have always loved it. I played for the choirs at our High School for about 4 years, playing for the Symphonic, Men's, Women's and Freshman choirs for concerts and competitions.  It was there that I really got to see the power of music for the kids!   It cemented my support and passion for music, our schools and our kids.

I have served on 3 boards and chaired many events in our community, before being asked to serve on the Snowman Foundation board. I strongly believe in community service and doing what you can to make where you live a better place.  I believe when we come together for a great cause we can do amazing things!  I am so honored to have been asked to serve for this Foundation.
